EXAMINATION OVERVIEW
Physical examination
Basic and most common, but still very important examination of the patient. It consists of: sight (aspect), feel (palpation), tap (percussion) and listening (auscultation).
Blood analysis
Thanks to the blood analysis, we determine the current condition of the organism - the level of sugars, fats, various enzymes, and proteins, which can reveal an incipient problem or determine the extent of the disease currently occurring.
Biopsy
A biopsy is the removal of living tissue. However, you don't have to worry about anything, only a small piece is taken, usually from the tumor itself, so that we can find out how the tumor was formed and plan the treatment correctly.
Histology
During a histological examination, a piece of tissue is taken from the patient, which is then processed and examined under a microscope. Since the processing of the removed tissue is not the easiest, this examination can take several days.
Cytology
Cytological examination is very similar to histology, so it is an examination using a microscope, however we do not examine the entire tissue sample, but only scattered individual cells.
Mammography
Mammographic screening or mammogram for short (which is actually the name of the device used to perform this examination) is an examination that can detect even a very small tumor in the breast, and is therefore used as a prevention for breast cancer. Simply put, this is a breast x-ray.
